With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, the problem of air pollution has become increasingly serious, which has become a major bottleneck restricting the sustainable development of economy and society. In recent years, China has made remarkable achievements in the prevention and control of air pollution. The national air quality has continued to improve and the concentration of PM2.5 has dropped significantly. However, the pressure of air control still exists and it faces many challenges.
I. Status quo and achievements
Since the release of "Atmosphere Ten" in 2013, the China Municipal Government has taken a series of powerful measures, such as ultra-low emission transformation of coal-fired power plants, emission standards of industrial pollution sources, vehicle exhaust control, etc., which have effectively reduced the emissions of major pollutants. In particular, the atmospheric environmental quality in key areas such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta has been significantly improved.
Second, the challenges faced
Despite some achievements, in the context of global climate change, air governance still faces the following major challenges:
Structural pollution has not been fundamentally solved: unreasonable industrial structure and energy consumption structure are the main reasons for air pollution.
Insufficient scientific and technological support: we need to strengthen R&D and innovation in accurate forecasting and early warning and efficient purification technology.
Public participation is not high: the society's understanding of environmental protection is not deep enough, and it lacks a broad social support base.
The cross-regional joint defense mechanism needs to be improved: the coordination and cooperation between different administrative divisions are not close enough to form a joint force.
Third, countermeasures and suggestions
In view of the above problems, the following suggestions are put forward to meet the future environmental challenges:
1. Optimize and adjust the industrial layout: accelerate the elimination of backward production capacity and promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries; Develop low-carbon economy and circular economy, and build a green manufacturing system.
2. Increase investment in scientific and technological innovation: encourage and support scientific research institutions to carry out research on key technologies of air pollution prevention and control, and improve the level of pollution control.
3. Strengthen the construction of laws and regulations: improve relevant legal systems, strictly enforce laws and regulations, and ensure that all policies and measures are implemented.
4. Enhance the environmental awareness of the whole people: improve citizens' environmental literacy through education and publicity, and guide all sectors of society to actively participate in environmental protection.
5. Deepen the regional cooperation mechanism: establish a more effective cross-regional cooperation platform to realize resource sharing, information exchange and mutual recognition of achievements.
In short, in the future development process, we must adhere to the principle of ecological priority, continue to promote the construction of ecological civilization, and strive to build a new pattern of beautiful China. Only in this way can we truly realize the beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
